Who you are dealing with
Stacks of Tyres Ltd, company number 13793667, VAT number 478 7815 27. Registered address: Malt Lane, Longton, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, ST3 1RR. Phone 01782 528224.
These terms apply to tyres, wheels, fitting and other services you buy from us through this website, by phone or at our premises. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Prices
Prices on the website include VAT at the current rate and, for tyres, include fitting, balancing, a new valve and disposal of your old tyre unless stated otherwise. Mobile fitting and wheel alignment are priced separately and shown before you confirm.
Prices can change without notice, but the price shown when you place an order is the price you pay for that order. If a price is obviously wrong we will tell you before doing any work and you may cancel.
Orders and bookings
Placing an order or booking on the website is a request. We confirm it by text, phone or email; a contract is formed when we confirm. No payment is taken online — you pay on the day, by card or cash, when the work is done.
We check that the tyres you have chosen suit your vehicle before fitting. If they do not, or if stock is unavailable, we will offer an alternative or cancel at no charge.
If you cannot make a booking, please tell us as early as you can so the slot can be offered to someone else. Tyres ordered in specially for you that you no longer want may be subject to a restocking charge if they cannot be returned to our supplier.
Mobile fitting
For mobile fitting we need safe, level access to the vehicle at the address you give. Where we cannot work safely, or the vehicle is not there, we may charge the mobile fitting fee and rebook.
Wheel alignment is carried out at our premises only.
Your vehicle
We take reasonable care of your vehicle while it is with us. Please remove valuables. If we find a fault that makes the vehicle unsafe (for example a damaged wheel or worn brakes) we will tell you before continuing.
Locking wheel nut keys, spare wheels and tools must be available for us to complete the work.
Guarantees and returns
New tyres carry the manufacturer’s guarantee against manufacturing defects. Damage from punctures, kerbing, misalignment, under-inflation or misuse is not covered.
Puncture repairs are carried out to British Standard BS AU 159; a tyre that cannot be repaired safely will not be repaired.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If something is wrong, contact us and we will put it right.
Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Complaints and law
If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us first on 01782 528224 and we will try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
