WHILE YOU WAIT
Get yourself and any passengers somewhere safe, away from traffic. Put your hazard lights on. Do not drive on a flat or damaged tyre: it can ruin the wheel. Have your registration ready when you call. On the M6, get out on the side away from the traffic and wait behind the barrier. If you are stuck in a live lane, stay in the car with your seatbelt on and call 999.
